Arab Loss Adjusters (ALA) was established in 1981 by our current managing director and chairman, Walid H. Jishi in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Following his exposure to international insurance markets, he sought out the challenge to build a native adjusting practice with a strong emphasis on industrial and engineering risks. Through his leadership and passion for positive impact towards the insurance industry, he has steered the firm from a single local adjusting office to a well recognised and established brand name among local and international insurance markets.
The insurance industry was at its infancy stage when in 1981, Walid Jishi, Group Chairman and Managing Director, founded Arab Loss Adjusters to bridge the gap between local insurers and international practices.
ALA, an integral and trusted partner, is a respected and long-term value creator that leads in the markets it operates.
Piloted in 2010, ALA Academy is a non-profit organization with the mission of improving the professional standards of loss adjusting and producing local talent for the insurance sector in the Arab world.
ALA Group seeks opportunities that will complement our business model and add value to our people. The firm’s long term vision and strategy is to ensure the right talent and management is on-board when exploring new ventures with a strict no conflict of interest policy.
Independent adjusting in itself provides all stakeholders with the social purpose of allowing eligible policyholders to reinstate their lives and businesses in a fair manner.
